Ann (Podzemny) Erdman

Ann Podzemny-Erdman 102, of Amarillo died Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 in Amarillo.

Services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 at St. Thomas Church. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St.

Mrs. Erdman was born Sept. 10, 1915 in Umbarger.  She lived most of her life between Amarillo and Canyon. Mrs. Erdman was a devoted charter member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She was an exceptional cook and enjoyed baking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing.  She exemplified the title of being a homemaker. Mrs. Erdman was a dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She married John A. Erdman on November 26, 1942.  He preceded her in death in 1995.

The family would like to extend their gratefulness to the doctors, nurses and staff of Hillside Heights and Kindred Hospice for loving care they provided to Mrs. Erdman during her stay.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Erdman and his wife Rita of Waco; one daughter, Donna Myatt and her husband Murray of Amarillo; one sister, Elsie Fluegal of Amarillo; one brother, Bob Podzemny of Sedan, NM;  five grandchildren, TeeJay, Missy, Cassy, Kevin and Yvette; ten great-grandchildren, Breuklyn, Taylor, Ian, Emily, Elizabeth, Kate, Harrison, Luke, Michael and Ellie.
