Dale Reeves

Dale Reeves, 54 of Canyon passed away Monday, May 21, 2018. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, May 25, 2018 at Hillside Christian Church West Campus, 6100 S. Soncy, with Pastor Skip Chisum of The Rock Church officiating. A Celebration of Life Gathering will immediately follow the burial at Zita Event Center, 9602 S FM 1541. Dale was born on November 1, 1963 in Dalhart to Walter and Lenora Reeves. He grew up in Dalhart where he graduated from Dalhart High School. Dale moved to Amarillo in 1985 and married the love of his life, Marilyn Jenkins in Amarillo in 1989. Dale worked for Brown Pontiac and owned Dale's Pickup Accessories and Collision Repair, as well as Zita Event Center. His hobbies included, drag racing, dirt track racing and classic cars. He enjoyed going to the mountains and more importantly helping others. He will be dearly missed. Dale is preceded in death by his mother, Lenora Reeves. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Reeves of Canyon; a son, Daylan Reeves of Amarillo; a daughter, Kayla Reeves of Amarillo; his father, Walter Reeves of Amarillo; and a brother, Bobby Reeves of Oklahoma. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
