Eva Suhl

Eva “Eve” Rodriguez Suhl, 60, of Amarillo, went to be with her Heavenly Father and precious Angels, Patrick, Kandice and Richard on December 13, 2017. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Cox Funeral Home. Burial at Memory Gardens to follow.

Eve was born on September 13, 1957 in Slaton, Texas to Salvador Rodriguez and Maria Garcia. Eve moved to Amarillo in 1980 where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for BSA Hospice for 19 years until she medically retired in 2016. She spent her career as a tremendous care-giver providing comfort and compassion to families of hospice patients to make sure they were cared for as they departed this world. She was best known for her kindness, strength, and of course...story-telling ability. She also spent her time improving her skills as the best Women’s Billiards player in Amarillo or being surrounded by her children and grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as “Granny”.

She is survived by, three daughters, MaryAnn Suhl of Forney,TX; Arron Hughes of Happy,TX and Amy Rodriguez of Canyon, TX; two brothers, Salvador Rodriguez Jr. and Adam Rodriguez, both of Slaton, TX; and six grandchildren, Anjolina Hughes, Jett Hughes, Martin Rodriguez III, Alyssa Rodriguez, Ricky Rodriguez, and Reyna Rodriguez.

She was preceded in death by, her father, Salvador Rodriguez Sr., her mother Maria Garcia Pinkert, her son Patrick Lewis Suhl, and her grandchildren Kandice Jimenez and Richard Jimenez.
