Jacob Daniel "JD" Caproni

Jacob Daniel “JD” Caproni, 87, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 2, 2018 in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jacob Daniel “JD” Caproni was born in Ashland, KY. After joining the Air Force, he was stationed in Wichita Falls, TX.  He and Arline were married in Dallas, Tx and he was then transferred to the base in Amarillo, TX.

After leaving the Air Force, he worked for the Texas State Comptroller’s office and prepared tax returns.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Arline; daughter-in-law Michele; and a great-grandson.

He is survived by his children, Paul Caproni, Pam and Mike White; grandchildren, Larissa Holley, Samantha and Sterling Davis, Brent Beavers, Gary and Kasey Beavers, and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, St. Jude’s, or the food bank.
