Janet Lyles Schroeder, 77, of Amarillo died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Gordon Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Janet was born Oct. 12, 1940, in Tyrone, Oklahoma to J.T. and Vida Lyles. She married Raymond F. Schroeder on July 2, 1961, in Tyrone, Oklahoma.
Janet taught school in Muleshoe, Hereford and Longview. Her focus was her children and grandchildren. She loved to quilt and knit.
She attended First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 23, 2014.
Survivors include a daughter, Stacy Hamby and husband Kevin, of Amarillo; two sons, Todd Schroeder and wife Kelly, of Vega and Chad Schroeder and wife Leslie, of Mustang, Oklahoma; three brothers, Rodney Lyles and wife Deanna of Overland Park, Kansas, Dwayne Lyles and wife Jan of Littleton, Colorado and Devon Lyles and wife Suzie of Hooker, Oklahoma; a sister, Sherri Lyles of Austin; eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Hunter, Bailey, Bryson, Brock, Cade, Abby and Brynnlie; and 1 great-grandchild, Jaxon.
