Mary Kathryn (Kathy) Stump

Mary Kathryn "Kathy" Stump, 85, of Amarillo passed away surrounded by family on Friday, May 29, 2020. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Monday, June 1, 2020 at LaGrone Blackburn Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Barney Railsback officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Kathy was born on June 27, 1934 in Crowell, TX to Dense and Beddie Huskey. She graduated from Dumas High School and married the love of her life, Merrill Stump on May 27, 1977 in Amarillo. Kathy worked as an accountant for several credit unions and savings and loans in Amarillo. She loved to work in her garden and sewing was also a favorite thing to do. She was a Sunday school teacher at Irwin Road Baptist Church. Kathy loved being "Neema" and spending time with her family and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Merrill and her brother, Jimmy Huskey

She is survived by four daughters, Sue Parish and husband Shane, Lynnette Birtciel and husband Bruce, Cheryl Willard and husband Tony and Dreama Brannon and husband Quincy; two sons, Kevin Stump and friend Gary Owens and Marcus Hayes and wife Karen; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Irwin Road Baptist Church.
