Saundra Sue Edmond, 78, of Amarillo, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017. Funeral services will be 2:00PM, Wednesday at Trinity Fellowship Church- West Auditorium, 5000 Hollywood Rd. with Pastor Phil Mercado officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Saundra was born September 13, 1939 in Anson, Texas. She graduated from Hereford High School in 1958, attended Amarillo College. She worked for Trinity Fellowship Church and also for Coors Distribution. She married Jeff Edmond on July 13, 1991. Saundra was an adventurous person. She loved to travel, especially to Emerald Bay at Lake Tahoe. She enjoyed going to her bay house on the coast in Galveston Bay. She never said no to a trip or event. She loved children, and was a foster parent. She was an excellent cook, who also enjoyed doing crafts and sewing. Saundra like corvettes and was a member of the Amarillo Corvette Club. She adored her two cats, Sidney and Prissy. Saundra will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Mary Dutton; and by a brother, Don Dutton. Survivors include her husband, Jeff Edmond of Lake Tanglewood; a daughter, Gina Brown of Canyon; 3 sons, Michael Brown and Robby Brown both of Canyon, and Kerry Luke and wife Susan of Amarillo; two brothers, Frank Dutton of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Bill Dutton of Lubbock; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 loving caregivers, Martha Bautista, Yolanda Walker, and Rosa Saldana.
The family suggests memorials be made to The Amarillo Animal Rescue Shelter, 12500 FM 1541, Amarillo, TX 79118; or to the Alzheimer's Association , 415 SW 8th Avenue Suite 300, Amarillo, TX 79101.
