Joy Scott

Joy Scott, 71, of Amarillo, passed away Monday, March 9, 2020, in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Saturday, March 14, 2020, at South Georgia Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Lowell Schmidt officiating.

Joy Scott was born August 29, 1948, in Floydada to Emett and Lucile Willis. She married her sweetheart Jerry on September 2, 1972, they would spend 48 wonderful years together. Joy was a longtime member of South Georgia Church of the Nazarene. She loved being a part the Rhetts Darlin’ Divas Chapter of the Red Hat Society, where she enjoyed their extra activities and events. Joy was dedicated to her Monday night bunco group. She enjoyed quilting and scrapbooking, but her best time was spent being “Mimi” and entertaining her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son Heath Bradley.

Survivors include her husband Jerry Scott of the home; her son, Jeff Scott and wife Shawntell of Highland Village; two grandchildren, Sierra Ray Scott, and Brayden Todd Scott; her second son Jeremy Scott of Pierre, SD; three sisters Darlene Carr of Petersburg, Sherry Osborn of Roaring Springs, and Patty McHam of Floydada. Survivors also include a host of additional family and friends.
